
The Sando Foundation releases the report of the First National Conference for Construction Health and Safety
The Sando Foundation has released a report of the conclusions of the National Study on Construction Health and Safety, with the participation of over one hundred experts in workplace risk from throughout Spain. The report analyses the current panorama in the sector and evaluates key aspects of risk prevention, including the Construction Subcontracting Act and the role of External Risk Prevention Services.

Madrid, March 17, 2009. The General Director of the Sando Foundation, Esther Sánchez Manzano, received the Prever Award 2008 on Saturday, given by the General Board of Industrial Relations and Work Sciences at the beginning of the year. The General Director of Workplace Health and Safety of the Junta of Andalucia, Esther Azorit Jiménez, personally presented the award to the Foundation.
The report presented at the National Construction Health and Safety Conference evaluates the principal obstacles in risk prevention
Yesterday morning, the Sando Foundation held its first annual Graduation Awards which recognises the academic efforts of employees and their families. Ten awards were given, sponsored by the University of Malaga (UMA), which include financial assistance for continuing training and education.
The President of the company, José Luis Sánchez Domínguez, reminded the audience that in its thirty years of existence, Sando has always aimed at transmitting the values of commitment, dedication, and the value of hard work. It is “a philosophy that has always gone hand in hand with the growth of company” the President said, confirming his support for “continuing education and training at all levels”.
The Real Estate division dedicates 0.7% of its sales during the Property Fairs of Madrid and Malaga to the initiatives of the UN Agency for Refugees.

This evening represents the beginning of an exciting project as the Foundation hopes to organise other benefit events. Other initiatives include the organisation of a forum on environmental issues and promoting the sponsorship of the arts and culture.
The recital was held this Thursday, organised by the Sando Foundation to raise funds for Ayuda en Acción.
Sando Foundation director, Esther Sánchez Manzano, stated that "our objective is to contribute and encourage sustainable development through actions in favour of the conservation of our social, cultural and natural environment.
